i read many q&a’s about social programs that seem racially biased, without saying it. they seem to tapdance around mentioning color.
i read that when lbj enacted his social programs, there was a mass exodus of poor whites from the democratic party to the republican party. for the life of me, i cannot see anyone in the lower economic classes choosing the republicans as the more benevolent of the two.
i also feel that america is still quite racially biased. if michael vick was bret favre, would there have been such an uproar? if barry bonds was white, would there have been such a problem with the record being righteous. i wonder. and this jena 6 thing……
