Ballet…?
I really want to learn ballet. But I’m 14 and don’t have any experience with dance. I’m kinda flexible and have been playing soccer and basketball since 3rd grade, so I’m strong. I can do the 5 basic ballet positions. So would it be hard for me to learn later than most other people?

NO! theirs a girl in my class who started when she was 13 and she took 3 classes a week to catch up with her age group. a beginners class, an intermediate class, and an advanced class. now 1 year later shes in the company and a really great ballet dancer. i LOVE ballet and id suggest it for any age! try this website. its good for all the questions you have about any type of dance. good luck!
I know this sounds like Dr.Phil cheesy crap…but if u really put ur mind 2 ballet it doesn’t matter your age or ability just your will 2 do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!
♥lots of love 2 my ballerina friend♥
YES!!!!
i started when i was 9 at a new stricter studio and it was terrible cuz every one was better but after a year i caught up but ur way to old!!!!
you could do not competitive jazz mayb
It doesn’t matter when you start dancing as long as you do it and you work at it
I know many people that started when they were 18 and they are dancing at Julliard and Pointe Park
So don’t be discouraged about your age, just go and try it out
Absolutely not! Darcy Kistler started ballet training at age 12 after playing sports her whole childhood. She was accepted into the School fo American Ballet year-round two years later. As long as you work to learn you’ll be very well off. C: Good Luck!
