im starting ballet soon im 15 and never done it before

ive got really strong ankles and i can do a bit of point in my shoes but cant stand long with them

im a dancer but i do street dance

and when i join ballet i want to do like at least 3 lessons a week to catch up maybe more

I’m sort of new to ballet and I’m not sure if you actually buy ballet slippers with ribbons (different from the ones with an elastic), or do people just sew ribbons on? If so, how?
i thought that too, that only pointe shoes use ribbons but we’re having a recital in a few months and our teacher said she wants us to wear shoes with ribbons

I’m sorry, but I just have to rant here. Too many people think they know what a “twist” ending is and they do not!

Twist does not mean “unexpected”. If that were the case, then almost every movie (the whole movie) would be “twisted”. Since you don’t know what to expect in the following scenes. Especially comedy movies.

A surprise ending is just that. You didn’t see it coming and it hit you with a surprise. A TWIST ending happens at THE END (hence the word “ending”) that changes the story or what you thought you knew. It changes what you’ve already believed and seen.

Fight Club has a twist toward the end of the MIDDLE of the film, NOT THE END. In other words, it has a twist, but not a twist ENDING.

Seven has a SURPRISE ending, NOT a twist in the story line.

I’m sorry, but I just had to get that out of me. Now, what movies have Twist ENDINGS and which ones have SURPRISE endings? (Please no Spoilers).

Surprise ending examples:

The one you didn’t believe to win the game wins.
The hero does not end up with the girl.

These don’t change the story.

Twist ending examples:
The faithful friend is actually the enemy.
The innocent is really guilty.
The story that was being told was a lie.

These DO change the story/what you knew/believed.

Twist – A surprise that changes the story’s outcome, meaning, events, etc.

My french teacher was making fun of dancers and said that scientists were more smart and dancers werent so i’m trying to find a scientist/ dancer or a scientist turned dancer or something like that.
my french teacher actually does know alot about science and he’s a science olympiad teacher so he’s not stupid or anything but i just think it was wrong for him to make a joke out of it and he was like “ha ha a scientist in a tutu” there was only one other dancer in the class besides me so it was kinda pissing me off that the whole class was laughing at his corny jokes

I’ve been searching for a free way to download the sheets of the Chinese Dance in the Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky, for four hands.

So far, i’ve found one site that has it and they’re charging me money which I really don’t want to do. Does anyone know how I can download this duet for free?

I’ve been to several dancing clubs around my campus but almost every time i just end up standing in the corner. Thing i that i feel awkward getting in the crowd just start dancing with random people. any ideas to get my confidence up??
